Aiden is 16 weeks old today and we (Mommy and Daddy) are convinced that he has spoken his first two words. I, Mommy, make sure to talk to him like he understands what I am saying all the time. Even in the grocery store...I know that people think that I am either crazy, talking to myself, or probably both.
So back to Aiden...we are convinced that he can say Hi and Momma. He has said Hi a few times...I heard it first and thought that I was hearing things....then Paul heard him say it too!!!!! It was so cute and he had the biggest smile on his face when he said it. And the only time I have heard him say Momma is when he is crying...then Paul heard it too....validation is a wonderful thing!!!!
Needless to say I am ecstatic that Momma was one of his first words!!!! We will be posting pictures from Daddy's birthday dinner that will be tomorrow night and plenty from the holidays very soon!!!!

Teething anyone????
Okay so this is Mommy doing this post as Aiden sleeps peacefully next to me on the bed. I have been saying for a couple weeks now that I think Aiden is teething (As Paul looks at me in disbelief...he thinks that I am crazy half the time), despite him being just a little older than 3 months!!! So Daddy sent me a text last week while I was in a meeting finally agreeing that he thinks that Aiden is teething. He has been unusually cranky, he sticks his WHOLE fist in his mouth to chew on, you would think he has a leacky faucit in his mouth as much as he drools, and the big 2 give aways for me were that he was only taking 15-30 minute naps and not eating all 6 ounces at at time. Aiden LOVES to eat and sleep so those were obvious signs for me.
I of course go on Super Mommy mode and hit up every Mommy I know to see what I can give him. On my way home from the meeting I pick up baby oragel and infant tylenol (thanks Auntie Talia), but decide not to give him anything until I speak with the advice nurse at the doctors office since ALL the doses say 4 months and older...and Aiden is not quite there yet. They said thumbs up to the tylenol and thumbs down to the oragel (it can contain alcohol which is a no no for infants his age). I gave him the tylenol while I was still on the phone with the lady, and for the first time in almost a week he slept for 2 hours during the day...my baby was feeling better!!!!!
I also froze one of his washcloths and let him chew on that...which he loved, as he sucked the water out of the washcloth...lol. He is still a little cranky every now and then but he is doing much better and that makes me happy.Oh and he really likes it when I massage his gums with my finger. Nothing worse than your baby not feeling well and you knowing about it.
What's is up next you ask? Well Aiden's Uncle Raaj will be here on Wednesday for the holidays, we (the three of us) have a holiday party to go to Thursday night, Mommy and Daddy are going out for the first time since he has been born on Friday night (Granna and Uncle Raaj will be babysitting) and then Daddy's birthday is on Saturday. Don't tell Daddy but Aiden got him a really good gift!!! I am sure that Daddy will be posting pictures of everything not to long after.
Have a fabulous week!!!!!

I love being free.
I REALLY love being in my birthday suit. I feel free as the day I was born. I wish Mommy and Daddy would let me be like this more often...maybe if I promise not to pee on them they will go for it!!!

This is me looking at Mommy wondering why she is taking a picture of me while Daddy changes my diaper. Is nothing sacred anymore? Can I not get changed in peace?!!!!

Me and Garyson
So like Mommy said in her "recovering" post, Auntie Talia and cousin Garyson came to Atlanta last week from Minnesota. Mommy and Antie Talia have known each other their WHOLE lives (they are almost 1 year to the day apart) and now Me and Garyson are only 6 months apart in age. We had fun and I liked watching Garyson move around. I hope to be moving around and standing up like that on my own pretty soon!!!!

Me and Mommy are going to Minnesota in January to visit and we will be staying with Auntie Talia. I am sure that we will have tons of pictures from that trip. Mommy said that Auntie Talia made an appointment for me and Garyson to take professional pictures. I am sure that we are going to have lots of fun!!!Recovering...
Since Aiden is still recovering from his first Thanksgiving, first adult birthday dinner and his Baptism I, his Mommy, will be handling this post.
Aiden had a very hectic end to last week. His Auntie Talia and cousin Garyson arrived on Wednesday for the week and we were running around all day. Aiden and Garyson got along so well and were too cute together. Once I find my camera I will post some of those pictures. Then that night I was up late packing Aiden an overnight bag because we planned on staying the night at GrandPaul's house Thanksgiving night.
So we got up early on Thursday so Mommy could let her monkey bread rise then pack for Paul and I. After a quick nap for Aiden on the car ride over...we got to GrandPaul's house about 1pm and Aiden's GreatGran was too excited to be the first to spend some time with him. Then Uncle Travis and Lauren spent some time with him. I tried to sneak off to get a nap because Mommy was exhausted. I think I was sleep about an hour and a half (with one eye open) when I heard Aiden continuously crying. He was sleepy of course because he had only had about 20 minutes sleep and it is about 4pm by now. He would have had 2 naps by then on a normal day. He once again didn't get to sleep long before the house started filling up with people that were so happy to finally meet him. It was funny watching him trying to take it all in. He was passed around more than a collection plate...lol.
I got to eat (quickly...thanks Mel) by myself and then gave him a bath so we could wind down for bedtime. I left him with Daddy and cousin Marquel to put him to sleep, but he was only sleep for a little while before he was woken by all the noise. Finally he could not take it anymore and had a full meltdown. Poor baby.
I think he knew that he was not at home that night because he woke up a lot. But Friday he hung with Daddy and Uncle Godfather Travis all day so Mommy and Granna could get things together for the brunch after the Baptism that was taking place the next morning. Aiden got a total of 30 minutes of nap time ALL DAY on Friday. Then that night we went to a jazz club/restaurant called Sambuca's for She Ma-Ma's birthday dinner. He slept thru most of it and I was not surprised because he had to be tuckered out. He woke up towards the end in time to meet his wonderful Godmommy Jewel who came straight from the airport. We got home late but he slept much better from the night before.
We had to get up early on Saturday to get him ready for his Baptism that was to start at 10am. He Baptism outfit was SOO cute...thanks Godfather Uncle Travis...and fit him perfectly. The Baptism was beautiful and very well attended...Aiden is a loved little boy. He was very well behaved thru the majority of the ceremony, until the very end and picture time. He was of course hungry and very tired. Once we got to Granna's house he was up for a little while but then fell asleep out of pure exhaustion. He slept from about 1:30pm to almost 7pm!!!!
Mommy and Godmommy Jewel went out to dinner and drinks and boy did I need that. Paul let me know that he gave Aiden his bath and while he was reading him a story he fell asleep. He slept almost ALL night and slept quite a bit the next day.
All in all it was a very eventful weekend for Aiden and I think that he handled it pretty well. I am happy that his family was able to spend some real time with him because every time they see him he looks totally different. Daddy is in the process of editing all the photos from this weekend so be on the look out for those. He has some really good ones.
Next up...Christmas day in Atlanta with Uncle Raaj and then going to Murfreesboro he next day to spend time with the other third of his family. Yay!!!
